This is a very poignant album. On track 18,
Lulu sings the Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb
composed song 'First of May' with her
ex-husband, Maurice Gibb. This is taken from
'An Audience with Lulu', the ITV
entertainment programme from 2002. On this
programme, Lulu and Maurice (who is also on
piano) sing a truly beautiful and quite
touching version of the classic Bee Gees
song. It is now even more moving to know
that this would be Maurice Gibb's final
recording before his untimely death at the
age of 53 in January 2003.
